An exciting Literary Translation Short Course will be held for the third year at City University London from 11th to 15th July 2016.  It offers the opportunity to translate texts across the literary genres into English, working with leading professional translators. ALTA is delighted to announce the establishment of the annual Peter Jansen Memorial Travel Fellowship, beginning with the 2016 ALTA Travel Fellowship. The Jansen Fellowship will be preferentially awarded to an emerging translator of color or a translator working from a diaspora or stateless language.

The American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) is thrilled to announce that it will be responsible for coordinating the Cliff Becker Book Prize in Translation, beginning with the 2017 Becker Prize (awarded in 2016).
