Calling US residents interested Korean literature! From LTI Korea, the 2021 Korean Literature Review Contest is open for applications.

It’s simple: Just select and review one or more titles from the book list found here by September 26. Entering the contest is simple: Fill out the application found there and send it to the email provided on the website. Entry categories include video, essay, and others (audio, drawings, etc.), so be as creative as you like! You can also apply with more than one book in more than one category.

October 15, 2020—The American Literary Translators Association (ALTA) is pleased to announce the winner of the 2020 Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Prize! This prize, which was inaugurated in 2009, recognizes the importance of Asian translation for international literature and promotes the translation of Asian works into English. This year’s judges are Noh Anothai, John Balcom, and E. J. Koh.

After careful consideration of the developing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, ALTA has extended the deadline for its 2020 awards cycle from April 20 to May 4, 2020.

The following prizes are accepting submissions:
