Don’t miss the opportunity this summer to study literary translation at the 10th Annual Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference in Vermont’s Green Mountains! You’ll get the chance to meet editors from many presses there, including Two Lines, New Directions, and Farrar, Straus & Giroux! Rolling applications end next week, on February 1, and financial aid is available. https://www.middlebury.edu/writers-conferences/translators-conference

ALTA is going to the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) conference! The AWP24 conference will take place February 7-10, in Kansas City, Missouri.

ALTA welcomes event proposals for AWP 2023 (March 8-11, 2023 in Seattle, WA).

As part of our literary partnership, AWP has reserved slots for 3-5 literary translation events proposed by ALTA members! These sessions are a chance to showcase what ALTA members are doing at the forefront of literary translation.

ALTA is accepting proposals on a first-come, first-served basis for all eligible (translation-themed) events.

Don’t miss your chance to hone your translation skills this summer at the Kenyon Review Summer Online Writers Workshops! The virtual translation workshop will be taught by Kaiama L. Glover and André Naffis-Sahely (and one more instructor to be announced) June 20-25.

From the Kenyon Review website:

“The workshops meet for three hours every day from June 20-25, 2022. Our online workshops are generative, and the focus is on creating new work.
