Twisted Spoon Press is an independent publisher based in Prague. Founded in 1992, it is focused on translating into English a variety of writing from Central & Eastern Europe and making it available to a global readership. House of Anansi Press was founded in 1967 by writers Dennis Lee and David Godfrey. Anansi started as a small press with a mandate to publish Canadian writers, and quickly gained attention for publishing authors such as Margaret Atwood, Matt Cohen, Michael Ondaatje, and Erín Moure, as well as George Grant and Northrop Frye. Two Lines Press exists to give American readers the opportunity to read some of the great work from outside our borders that they would not otherwise get to see. Two Lines Press endeavors to give readers another point of entry to this important international discussion—to see that great literature isn’t created by the background of the culture in which its produced but by the talent of the writer that produces it (and the translator that brings it to English). Two Lines Press is a program of the nonprofit Center for the Art of Translation. The press, and the Center for the Art of Translation, both grew out of the TWO LINES: World Writing in Translation anthology series, which has been publishing international literature in translation for nearly 20 years. New Issues Poetry & Prose, a nonprofit, university-based publisher, was established in 1996 by Editor Herbert S. Scott. New Issues publishes eight to twelve new titles each year with a focus on contemporary poetry. New Issues Poetry & Prose is the sponsor of two poetry prizes, each offering a $2,000 award and publication. The New Issues Poetry Prize is an award given to a first book of poems. New Issues also sponsors the Green Rose Prize in Poetry, an award given to a collection of poems by a poet who has previously published one or more volumes of poetry. New Issues publishes the AWP Award Winner in the novel.

The Song Bridge Project is dedicated to discovering, publishing, and promoting the best English language translations of important, contemporary poetry, prose, creative nonfiction, alternative genre, and book art. Our mission focuses on providing greater access to a range of literature through translation, while complementing existing journals of world literature and literary translation. We publish English translations of world literature from all languages, though our tradition has been and emphasis remains on English translations of Spanish language origin.

We are committed to a collaborative translation process, and work closely with emerging and established authors, translators, and visual artists to ensure the aesthetic integrity of each publication. Red Dust was founded in 1961 by Joanna Gunderson (1932-), who has been writing since 1957 and publishing since founding Red Dust. Gunderson is both a novelist and playwright. Her works include Indrani and I, Sights Three Novellas, Kaleidoscope 1969, The Field, Lullaby, and Night.
