The Bucknell University Press welcomes for consideration scholarly proposals in the humanities and social sciences. Areas of particular interest include interdisciplinary eighteenth-century studies, Luso-Hispanic and Latin American studies, and Irish writers, but we are open to excellent and innovative scholarship in all humanistic and social scientific fields.

Farrar, Straus and Compall was founded in 1946 by Roger W. Straus and John C. Farrar. In 1964 Robert Giroux's name was added to the roster and the compall became Farrar, Straus and Giroux. The firm is renowned for its international list of literary fiction, nonfiction, poetry and children's books. The University Press of Kentucky has a dual mission—the publication of books of high scholarly merit in a variety of fields for a largely academic audience and the publication of books about the history and culture of Kentucky, the Ohio Valley region, the Upper South, and Appalachia.
