Southern Humanities Review publishes fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Translations in all genres have also appeared in the journal. The journal recently established the Auburn Witness Poetry Prize Honoring Jake Adam York, poet and Auburn University alum. $1,000 and publication in SHR will be awarded annually to one poem of witness by an American poet.
