The ALTA39 Conference will be held at the Oakland Marriott City Center. With its prominent downtown location, graceful modern art and design the Marriott is the perfect venue for the conference.

Getting to Oakland:

Air Travel

The closest and most convenient airport to the conference site is the Oakland International Airport, airport code: OAK. It’s served by the new BART to OAK train, van shuttles, limousines, taxis and public transit buses. It is only a 20 minute drive or 35 minute BART ride to the Oakland Marriott City Center from OAK. Attendees may also chose to fly into San Francisco International Airport, airport code: SFO. It is also offers a wide variety of ground transportation options which can be found on the Transportation Page of the SFO website. Travel time to the Marriott City Center is approximately 40 to 50 minutes depending upon your mode of transportation.

Train Travel

The Jack London Square (OKJ) Amtrak station located in Oakland is less than a mile from the hotel. The address is 245 Second Street. The Amtrak station is approximately 6 minutes via taxi from the Oakland Marriott City Center.

Getting around Oakland/San Francisco:

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

The BART is your most affordable and convenient transportation option around the Bay Area! And the Oakland Marriott City Center is just across the street from the 12 St. Oakland City Center Station! For more information on the BART visit their website.
